This week, I missed my film class as it was snowing however I still went to my art class trip to London, the bus was slow and crashed into a Police car so didnt get their till 1 in the afternoon. I looked through 2 galleries in the Tate Modern and then we went to the Saatchi Gallery. There was a Reds Exhibition
going on while we were there which was annoying because we weren't allowed to go into 2 galleries. The most memorable part of the Saatchi was seeing the piece of art by Richard Wilson called 20:50 which was the whole of the bottom room filled with oil. It smelled disgusting but looked incredibley beautiful.
After the Saatchi Gallery I went to Tate Britain and I found a more humorous piece of art done in 1973 called An Oak Tree by Irish artist Michael Craig-Martin. He got a glass of water on a high up shelf and was trying to persuade the audience by a piece of text alongside the work that it is an Oak Tree! Another piece I love by him is On the Shelf also done in 1970.
I really enjoyed browsing through your blog. You are quite interesting. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and that the new year holds all measure of good things for you. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
