ANIMATION
This week and part of last week I was put in a group of 3 and we made an animation on birds from the theme bird-scissor-ladder. A development from the previous attempt. I really enjoyed making this.
We made sounds on a keyboard and also I went outside and recorded birds and edited all the sounds and images to correlate well together. We also used a soundtrack from Chicago. In our 8 hour time limit there are a few music continuity problems, we didn't have time to do deal with but I think we did the best we could do!
ART LECTURE
I made so many notes. Ridiculous. But equally informative. I learnt most from Angie as she really put each artist and works into perspective. Although I am not really interested in text &image, I loved all the pieces she showed us. Below, is work I was inspired by from the talk.
LAWRENCE WEINER
I love how this dictates the way you read it.

MARTIN CREED
Culture is culture.
After this talk we had another talk by Adele on Painting. It was interesting her telling us about how many artists coming out of Art School in the 70's thought that painting was dieing out so moved to film for a short period then in 90's referred back to painting and making it a successful comeback by introducing new techniques. Prime example is Jackson Pollock and Chris Ofili.
