Grace Francis

As a Thank you for stewarding at the Bath Mozart Festival this past week I got a complimentary ticket to see Grace Francis play piano. I overheard someone saying her trills were sloppy but I thought she was great and it was a real treat to see her play on a cheeky lunchtime concert (16.11.11) at the Guildhall in Bath. As I was sat, I decided to draw...

My work is now the main picture for Bath Live Art. This is an arts management final year projects to get Artists and Musicians working alongside each other and to perform in venues around Bath. I wanted to be part of this as I do both Art and Music. Cant wait for the actual events in December.

Drawings from Matilda

MATILDA THE MUSICAL
I went to go and see Matilda the musical this week and surprisingly really enjoyed it! I thought it would be aimed at 5 yr olds but it encompassed a wide range of audiences. The characters were almost identical to those in the film which created a lot of laughter with in the theatre! There was so much to be constantly looking at but still had time and wanted to get some drawings done here!

Figuration meets Abstraction

Gerhard Richter my favorite painting the safari lion the photo doesn't even do it justice
This trip was a lot more successful than my last trip to London. I am so happy that I got to see the Gerhard Richter exhibition at the Tate modern. His influence from other artists is very evident for example Marcel Duchamp. Richter's toilet roll was invoking on Duchamps famous urinal fountain. The use of paint was gentle though with sensitive treatment in contrast to Duchamp's bold fountain.
